As spring approaches, it's the ideal time to explore Michiana's outdoor nature centers and trails. Rum Village Park

Chamberlain Lake Nature Preserve

Almost 83 acres in size, Chamberlain Lake Nature Preserve is the perfect spot to visit for a respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Its 1.5 miles of winding trails take you along the edge of Chamberlain Lake as well as through woods and fields. Several rare and endangered plant species grow in the preserve, and if you're a bird watcher, head to the observation platform on the west side of the lake.
Love Creek County Park
Address: 9292 Huckleberry Road, Berrien Center, MI 49102
Located near Berrien Center homes for sale, Love Creek County Park is a popular outdoor destination for all seasons. Biking is available throughout the year for visitors who can use regular mountain bikes in warmer weather and rent fat bikes during winter. As spring approaches, you'll be able to traverse nine miles of hiking trails that give you access to several habitats, including a mature beech-maple forest that has a stunning display of wildflowers in the spring.
Hickory Creek Preserve
